THUDITSSIA  has representations  in the following Committees and Boards:-

      “The Tuticorin Sipcot Industrialists Association” in the Year 1995 and “The Tamil Nadu Tyre Retreaders Association” in
        the year 2001. This is a State Level association,functioning now from Coimbatore.

  • Conducting Seminars and Workshops:

    The Association is conducting State-Level, National-Level and International-Level(5-S Programme of Japan) Seminars and  workshops on various subjects and problems connected with the industries.

    The Association is affiliated with the TANSTIA,(Tamil Nadu small and Tiny Industries Association)&CII the apex body of Industrial Associations of Tamil Nadu for mutual benefits. The current President of  THUDITSSIA is one of the Joint Secretary of the TANSTIA (Madurai Region).

                              

  • Conduct of Training Programmes:

    The Industries department has vested the association with the responsibility of conducting training,for the candidates of the following schemes for self employment for educated unemployed youth. The training is imparted by faculties  consisting  of educated and experienced members of  the  Association  and  Government Officers, Bankers and some professionals.

    Prime Minister’s Rojgar Yojana: a Government of India scheme for new Entrepreneurs.  Women Entrepreneur Development Programme :  State Government scheme for Women Entrepreneurs.

  • Single Window Clearance Committee:

    The association to the part has solved numerous  grievances of our members through single window ClearanceCommittee.

  • Bulletin:

      THUDITSSIA News Bulletin of the Association are  issued every two months. Latest government and technical information are published in the book. The Editors are  Sri.K.Nehruprakash (2001-03) and Sri.Y.Sooryaprakash (2003-2006). The bulletin is distributed to the members, to all District SSI Associations, Government offices at free of cost.

  • Arranging Industrial visits  to  mega industries, and holding interactive  meetings with the officers of the industries,for the purpose of finding out the possibilities of starting new industries using the raw materials which can be obtained from them and exploring the prospect of supplying required raw materials to the mega industries.

    Recently members of the Association were taken to the Tuticorin Alkaline Chemicals Limited, Where they got a lot of useful information,going round the factory. Similar visits to SPIC, DCW,Heavy Water project are proposed.

  • Exhibitions & Trade Fairs:

    Now,as a big and bold  step the present committee of the Association has ventured into conducting a State-Level Industrial Exhibition calledv ‘Build Expo 2005’ on buildings, building materials, technology which you are witnessing today.

    The President Sri.N.Jeyarayan and the General secretary Sri.K.Nehruprakash are at the helm of affairs,day in and day-out for the successful conduct of the Build Expo-2005. The various Committees formed by the  members of the Association,Consultant, & the co-ordinator for the purpose, (listed elsewhere in this souvenir) are giving able,efficient and full support to the president and the General secretary.

    The past & present office bearers of our association have done immense service to our association by building up a sound financial status through donations and contributions received from the members and industrialists. The association has obtained 80G for claiming exemption for the donations received. A land has been purchased for the construction  of meeting hall and Training Institute. Our members were very generous in contributing Chairs, Tables,Fans,Electrical Fittings etc.

    The growth of the association mainly depends on its enterprising members like you. We welcome budding  young Entrepreneurs and Industrialist. Let us grow   together.
